Here are 8 symptoms of Diabetes that you mustn't ignore.

1. Are you feeling thirsty?
Feeling thirsty & increased urination are the earliest sign of Diabetes. Due to the disease, excess sugar builds up in one's blood and therefore kidneys are forced to filter and absorb more sugar resulting excessive thirst. This on the other hand leads to drinking more fluid triggering to frequent urination.

2. Do you feel exhausted all the time?
With Diabetes sugar doesn't reach to the cells of one's body; the cells keep starving for energy. Also, the body needs to compensate a lot for the erratic sugar levels. The kidneys work harder to get rid of the excessive sugar. All of these together contributes to being tired and feeling fatigue. This indicates that if you are feeling tired often, its important to go for a sugar test immediately.

3. Happy about sudden weight loss? Don't be.
People usually do not complain about sudden weight loss but this might be a bad sign. When one urinates frequently, along with sugar, the body also loses calories; the calories that is important for the body to function properly. Weight loss of 5-10 kgs in few weeks can be an issue of concern and therefore requires immediate doctor's attention.

4. Do you see everything blurred?
We all know that Diabetes effect eyesight but how often are we cautious about blurred vision. We try to manage with the effected vision till its really bad which can be dangerous. High levels of blood sugar pull in fluids from the tissues including the eyes as well. Changing fluid levels make it difficult for the eyes to focus leading to blurred vision. If necessary actions are not taken, this might even lead to blindness. Therefore, never ignore uncomfortable vision; always get your eyes tested on time.

5. Are you hungry all the time?
At times, we all feel more hungry than usual days but if this is a case for more than sometimes, this needs to be diagnosed. Diabetes leads to excessive hunger resulting overeating that can be dangerous for diabetic people. Therefore, many with Diabetes faces obesity. Our body's cells need insulin to bring in glucose and convert that to energy. But in diabetes, as there is not enough
production of insulin, the cells resist to take the glucose in. The loss of energy triggers the brain as feeling hungry and the urge to eat.

6. Have you started hating the dry and itchy skin?
With diabetes, as all the fluids required for the body goes in to peeing, there is less or no moisture remaining for one's skin and scalp. Lack of moisture leads to dry skin which can be itchy and irritating. One might also experience yeast infections in the moist folds of skin like between fingers and toes or under breasts etc in Diabetes.

7. Does your wounds takes too long to heal?
This is another most common sign of Diabetes and a very easy one to ignore. With this condition, the entire blood flow and sugar levels are messed up which can damage the nerves making it harder and longer for the body to heal any sort of wounds or sore.

8. Are your hands and feet numb?
Diabetes affect the nerves which results in burning pain and swelling in the hands and feet. One might experience tingling and numbness in both the places. This is another symptom of diabetes that should be attended immediately.
